Update 27/02/17

Currently I am editing a new version of the music video, I have added a grainy filter over the top of the footage to make it seem more retro, as most videos in that genre, we want it to fit in with the genre that we are associated with. and because of this I don't think I will add the crack in the music video as it wouldn't suit are genre, as the beauty of indie rock music is that it is simplistic and it is more rustic.
Reflective Comment
I just want to mention what I have changed in the music video, based on the feedback that I got, for example I decided not have a crack going through the middle as it was to much effects for the style of the music video.

The Meeks - Pieces (Official Music Video) (First Edit)

Reflective Comment
I wanted to release this version of the music to show people what it was going to  look like roughly with the narrative in the music video. I showed this to a few people to get feedback on the order of shots.

Reflective Comment
I did this post to show you where I am at with recording the narrative, and that all my recording has been completed.

Digipak Layout (Final) (Without Layout Text)

This is my final design for my Digipak, I have included the design without the layout text. You can now see the design a bit better. I also like the photo of the band I included on the left inside panel, as I think this gives the look of us being more of a band and not just musicians (as in having a live performances). So even though you can see me playing on stage, I was still able to get a photo of the band, As I set a camera up anyway to record us playing through a song. and then I took a screen shot of part of the clip, that got us all in. The EP cover has been used in the magazine advert, and I thought it would be good to include the same design, to make it connect together, which other existing products have done.

I am happy with the look for this ancillary tasks, as I want to keep the simplicity of the generic features of indie rock. I might create this as an actual Digipak, if I manage to find a way. But for now I am going to have complete focus and attention on my music video.

Update 07/02/17

I will be filming this week for the narrative part of the music video, this means that I'm able edit over the half term properly and hopefully have a final version done of the music during next week. I am lucky as I can get feedback from the band really easily and they can tell what to change/improve. Also I have found a girl I can use for my music video, who will be working with Harry, her name is Chloe Smith, she does as media as well and drama, so she can act. We're god mates and she gets along well with harry so it'll be easy for them to act together.
Reflective Comment
In terms of my practical I think this is all I really need to do as I have finished/got a version of my magazine advert and Digipak that I'm happy with, this means I can put all of my time into my music video, as this is the only thing that the band will use, so I want to make sure it is too a good enough quality.

Digipak Layout (Final)

This is my Digipak, I am quite happy with the look of it. It includes some of the typical features of an EP Digipak, as most EPs are sold by the band, so they won't really need a barcode, as they aren't commercially sold. I like the look of the layout, the band logo seems to follow the shape of the tray quite well, as it is a circular shape. I wanted to have the song title typefaces to be different to the bands text ('THE MEEKS' and 'PIECES').
Reflective Comment
This post was to show how the Digipak will be laid out. I will do another post without all the text covering over the images, so you can properly see everything.

Magazine Advert (Final)

I have now finished my magazine advert, I am quite happy with how it looked, as I think it looks like a traditional magazine advert for our genre of music. I looked at similar bands' magazine adverts and this one, and they seem to follow the same look kind of look.
Reflective Comment
This is my final version for my magazine advert. I wanted to keep the quality up to its highest. I had to create the different parts in different documents (Logo, 'PIECES' and the EP Cover) as I couldn't create all the parts in one.
